Rich, Bite-size Training

Microlearning is the same as other elearning, except smaller. Usually two to eight minutes long and delivering the right information necessary to help learners achieve a specific objective such as learning a job skill or completing a task.

Microlearning is often more engaging for learners because it’s focused on a single discrete topic or task and is often less time consuming and less costly to produce. It’s designed for access anywhere on any device, and is often coupled with mobile learning to deliver education anywhere it’s needed.

Training Anywhere, Any Place

Where other forms of training take learners outside of the work environment, microlearning is often incorporated into the work environment, letting workers select the training they need for specific job related learning objectives, and take training as part of the normal workday.

Learners get autonomy of choosing the training they need, and the flexibility to take it when they need it. Organizations can create libraries of microlearning vignettes and link them to create longer topic tracks. Learner access and engagement can be tracked to create personalized learning paths that guide learners towards larger learning objectives.

Reuse for Customer Service, Marketing, and Sales

Microlearning content suitable for external audiences is reusable outside of your corporate learning and development environment. Leverage it as self-help training on your customer service portals, as marketing content on websites and social channels to generate leads, and as educational content for prospects in your sales funnel.
